How long for a Sole Mandate? It is a well established custom of entrusting the sale of your property through a sole mandate exclusively to one agent for between 120 and 180 days. Avoid paying commission twice over. Yet another danger of employing multiple Estate Agencies is having to pay double commission.  Should a buyer be shown the same property by two different agents / agencies and put in an offer through one of them, the other agent may also feel entitled to commission. A sole mandate avoids this situation.
